Munster and the southern ridge

Petit Ballon starts in Luttenbach-près-Munster and Schlucht in Munster. Grand Ballon starts farther south in Wattwiller, while Markstein uses the Kruth approach on the other side of the ridge. Connecting them adds valley roads or another pass; the table is a set of alternatives, not a complete circuit.

The standard Planche finish

La Planche des Belles Filles sits apart from the Munster climbs. The selected profile stops at the standard finish and excludes the longer Super Planche extension. Regional Col’Attitude events close selected ascents to motor traffic for particular sessions; check the current programme rather than assuming these roads are always reserved for bikes.

Average gradient describes the recorded route as a whole. Open a climb to see its elevation profile and how the gradient changes along the road.
